Next ACL web 2.0 eProgramme

You've guessed it, the theme for the next ACL web 2.0 program is "License to Play".

The purpose of the web 2.0 program is to raise staff awareness of these web 2.0 tools and think about how you could use these tools for work purposes, or to recommend them to customers. Web 2.0 tools are free technologies on the internet that are designed to allow social networking, be interactive and make it easy for you to create content.

License to Play web 2.0 program uses a blog that contains a number of things to do. Staff complete some exercises, are given some resources to explore and are asked to post comments about their learnings on their own blog ie what they liked, what they didn't like and how they could use these tools at in their role. An admin team reads each post on the blogs and posts comments to encourage staff to continue their learnings.

License to Play begins on 9th February 2009, and runs for six weeks. It is aimed at all permanent staff. Posters will go out to sites in mid January with more information....so keep any eye out as there will be some cool prizes to win each week!

Don't worry if you did not participate last time as you will be learning about different web 2.0 tools....the short video I made is just a teaser of things to come.

Keep watching....as I'll update this blog with teasers of things to come.
